Thursday Doors

I don’t have many snow photos of my own anymore. Since we moved to the Canary Islands in 2011, snow has become something I mostly visit through memory — and imagination. So today, Pinterest was my inspiration.

There is something undeniably beautiful about snow ❄️. It softens edges, quiets the world, and turns ordinary doors into something almost fairytale-like. At the same time, snow is also work. Clearing a path to your front door. Digging out the car. Making the everyday accessible again.

These doors hold both sides of that story — the stillness and the effort, the hush and the labor. They remind me that even the most beautiful thresholds often ask something of us before we can pass through.
