DailyPrompt–1838

How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

Dailyprompt-1838

Significant life events don’t change your life all at once — they change how you see.

Time has taught me that certainty is an illusion. When I was younger, I thought life followed a plan: education, work, family, stability. Then life happened. Illness. Accidents. Loss. Love that transformed me. Moments that cracked me open and rebuilt me differently.

The passage of time has slowed me down — not in ambition, but in judgment. I no longer rush to label things as good or bad. I’ve learned that some of the hardest chapters carried the deepest lessons, even when I couldn’t see it then. Pain taught me compassion. Uncertainty taught me presence. Love taught me what truly matters.

Now, I measure life less by achievements and more by honesty — how deeply I live, how gently I listen, how bravely I speak my truth. Time hasn’t hardened me; it’s softened me in the right places.

Perspective, I’ve learned, isn’t gained by years alone — it’s shaped by what you survive, what you cherish, and what you choose to carry forward.
