Overall, there has been loss.
Overall, there has been learning.
Overall, there has been endurance
no one applauded.

Some days were heavy.
Some moments felt endless.
Some truths arrived late.

And still—
overall, I’m  here.
Still standing.
Still noticing.
Still capable of tenderness.

Overall is not denial.
It is reckoning without cruelty.
It is taking the full measure
without reducing yourself
to the hardest parts.

Overall,
I have survived more
than I were ever supposed to.
