In response to Linda’s prompt challenge:

Prompt word: Labyrinth

Labyrinth
Labyrinth — not just a maze of walls and turns,
but a place inside the mind
where decisions loop and circles of thought
lead back to themselves.
I’ve walked many labyrinths without leaving home—
the tangle of what ifs at night,
the winding paths of old habit,
the routes I take again and again
when I’m trying to make sense
of something that doesn’t want easy answers.
A labyrinth asks you to slow down.
To lose yourself before you find your way.
To feel every turn—not race past it.
It’s not about escaping—
it’s about learning to walk in uncertainty
with patience and curiosity.
Sometimes I reach the center,
sometimes I don’t.
And sometimes the center isn’t a place
but a quiet realization:
that the journey itself
has changed me.
I step, pause, listen to the echo
of my own breath,
and keep going.
