Stream of Consciousness Saturday + JusJoJan
Take another look—
that’s what I tell myself
when the first glance feels heavy,
when the story seems finished
before it really is.
Take another look at the moment I misunderstood,
at the person I judged too quickly,
at myself on the days
I thought I was failing.
Because sometimes the problem
isn’t what’s there,
it’s how tired my eyes are.
When I slow down,
when I soften the lens,
I notice details I missed—
kindness tucked into awkwardness,
strength hiding inside uncertainty,
possibility waiting quietly
behind fear.
Taking another look
doesn’t change the past,
but it can change meaning.
And maybe that’s enough—
to see again,
with a little more patience,
a little more grace,
and a heart that’s still willing
to try.
