This weekend, the Weekly Prompts challenge is the word ‘Journal.’

Journal

My journal is not a neat place.
It doesn’t care for straight lines or perfect grammar.
It holds scribbled truths, half-remembered dreams, dates without context, tears pressed into paper like invisible ink.

Some pages are heavy with grief, others light with hope.
There are lists of things I survived, names I refuse to forget, moments I didn’t know were important until later.
The journal listens without interrupting. It never rushes me. It lets silence sit between sentences.

When the world feels too loud, I return to these pages.
They remind me who I was, who I am becoming, and that I was here — breathing, loving, witnessing.
This is my record.
This is my remembering.

Journals offer a personal record of who we were, where we are today and what our future plans might be. Thanks for sharing.
