Situation

A situation is rarely just one moment.
It’s the weight of what came before
and the pause before what follows.

I’ve learned that situations don’t always announce themselves.
They arrive disguised as normal days,
familiar conversations,
small compromises that quietly stack.

Once, I thought a situation was something to escape.
Now I know—it’s something to understand.

Some situations reveal who stays.
Some show who listens.
Some exist only to teach you
what you will no longer accept.

This one—
where I stand now—
is not chaos, not crisis.
It’s clarity.

I see where I am.
I know what matters.
And for the first time,
the situation does not define me.

I define how I move through it.
