12.01.2026 |Monday Poetry Prompt
In response to Bart’s prompt: https://livingpoetry.net/2026/01/12/monday-poetry-prompt-clairvoyance/#like-7443
This week, let’s write a clairvoyant poem. Do you have ESP? Of course you don’t but it’s easy to imagine so let’s write about what you’d remote view and what you’d see. Post you precognition or retro in the comments below.

I don’t predict futures
like lottery numbers
or falling chandeliers.
I see differently.
I remote view the quiet places—
the pause before a decision,
the ache someone hasn’t named yet,
the thread tugging gently
behind coincidence.
I’ve watched timelines braid themselves
since childhood,
spirit guides whispering
where others heard nothing at all.
Cards don’t tell me what will happen.
Palms don’t dictate fate.
Stars don’t command.
They confirm
what I already sensed
when the room shifted
and nobody else noticed.
I precognize emotional weather.
I retro-view wounds
still pretending to be strength.
Call it imagination if you like.
I’ll call it pattern recognition
with a soul.
I don’t need to prove sight
to those who prefer blindness.
I’ve been seeing just fine
all along.

Bart asked for clairvoyance — I answered from lived experience, not spectacle. Some of us grew up listening where others learned to doubt.
