I signed up for a wholesome hobby
and brought my kit,
fully expecting calm creativity
and inner peace.
Enter the kiln.
Hot.
Intimidating.
Judging me silently
as if it knew I had no idea what I was doing.
Somewhere between shaping the clay
and dropping it again,
a kink appeared —
not in the pottery,
but in the plan.
Turns out my kink is optimism.
I genuinely believe
“This time it will work”
right before it absolutely doesn’t.
Still, I packed up my kit,
saluted the kiln,
and accepted the lesson:
Every masterpiece begins as a mess…
and sometimes ends as one too 😄🔥🫖
