Liquid Light

Water is the quiet alchemist of existence —
a shapeshifter that hugs the curve of every stone,
a mirror for every wandering sky.
It is the first breath of life,
flowing before memory, before self,
a song in the veins of every river and every child.
In its ripples are hidden universes:
tiny galaxies in a drop,
worlds riding on surface tension
like dreams upon the earth.
Water teaches surrender —
how to yield without losing form,
how to fall and rise again
with gentle persistence.
It is the pulse beneath our pulse,
the whisper that says:
“Here is possibility.”
Where water goes, life follows —
green unfurls, glassulates, burgeons,
and every thirst becomes a hymn
to the wonder of being.

We are water, and water is us —
a breath, a current, a promise unbroken.
