DailyPrompt—1809
Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

It’s definitely the future that occupies my thoughts most.
Life has become unpredictable — especially since my husband’s accident in 2023.
When something like that happens, time shifts.
You stop taking tomorrow for granted.
Some days my thoughts drift ahead with hope.
Other days… they drift with fear.
There are moments when I’m scared of ending up alone 💔
I wonder what will happen.
Will I manage?
Will I be strong enough?
Will I find my way if life keeps changing shape?
I don’t dwell much in the past.
The past feels lived, processed, held with tenderness.
The future, though — the future feels uncertain, unfinished, and demanding attention.
But even in the fear, there’s something else present too:
resilience.
Adaptation.
A quiet knowing that I’ve already survived things I never thought I could.
Thinking about the future doesn’t mean I’ve lost the present.
It means I care.
It means I’m trying to prepare my heart — not for the worst, but for the unknown.
And maybe that’s okay.
One step at a time.
One breath at a time.
The future doesn’t need answers today — only courage to keep moving.
