but also a year of shelter, love, courage, tenderness, and resilience.
It was a year of heartbreak and healing, caregiving and exhaustion, grief and determination — but through it all, I kept choosing love. I kept choosing to stay. I kept choosing to create.
This song is about being a safe place.
About holding the people you love when everything shakes.
About whispering, “You’re worthy. You’re loved. You’re safe here with me.”
even when you’re still learning to believe it yourself.
For me, 2025 has been exactly that: A storm — yes.
But also a sanctuary.
A reminder that even in darkness, we can still build warmth, connection, meaning, and strength.
So this song sums it up: Not because everything was easy…
but because somehow, I’m still here. Still loving. Still singing. Still standing in the storm — and sometimes even being the shelter.
