DailyPrompt—2165

You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?

My perfect reading and writing space doesn’t need to be extravagant.
It doesn’t even need to be complicated.
Give me light.
A window.
A view that breathes.
A comfortable chair for creating, with a little table beside me for notebooks, coffee cups, and whatever ideas decide to spill out of my heart.
If I’m reading, I want a sofa, soft pillows, and a blanket to curl into — that feeling of being held while sinking into another world.
Comfort. Light. Warmth. That’s really all I need.
But if I’m honest… my real “perfect space” isn’t a physical place at all.
I’ve learned I can write anywhere.
In hospital corridors.
In my car.
In the middle of waiting.
In moments life didn’t design for creativity — but where creativity insisted on showing up anyway.
Give me my earbuds, my music, and a little quiet in my soul…
and I can travel inside,
into that inner world where the words live.
The perfect space isn’t just where I sit.
It’s where my heart opens.
