This one is hard — not because there isn’t an answer,
but because the answer carries weight.

Over this last year, that man has been Liam Payne.

Not in the way the world usually measures impact,
but in the quiet, unexpected ways a soul can awaken another.

Through him, something in me came back to life.
Creativity returned —
writing poems, lyrics, articles, building this blog, finding my voice again.
I began fighting for justice for what happened to him,
speaking when silence felt safer,
creating music and words that are so not who I was before 2025.

That change didn’t come from admiration of fame.
It came from recognising humanity.

Yes, Liam — like all of us — had his faults.
He never pretended otherwise.
But what always stood out was his heart.

He cared deeply for others.
Wore his heart on his sleeve.
Felt everything.
And far too often, put himself last.

He tried to be kind in a world that wasn’t always kind back.
He spoke openly about his struggles so others wouldn’t feel alone.
And even when he was hurting, he wanted to help, to lift, to protect.

His impact on my life isn’t about who he was to the world —
it’s about what he awakened in me.

Some people change your life by standing beside you.
Others do it by lighting something within you that refuses to go out.
