What are your feelings about eating meat?
It’s a complicated one, isn’t it?
For me, the answer is somewhere between honesty, practicality, and a little childhood superstition.
I’ve always been fine with eating meat as long as I’m not there when the animal is slaughtered.
Yes, I know — it sounds silly. But when we used to live near a big pig farm, the farmers actually had to warn me when the butchers were coming so I could disappear and do something else. I simply couldn’t handle hearing it.
These days, because of my high cholesterol, I mostly stick to white meat and fish, with red meat only here and there. I think it’s all about balance — listening to your body while still respecting the nourishment food gives us.

And speaking of food… here’s a funny story from my childhood:
We had loads of ducks when I was little. And every time my father slaughtered some and prepared them for the barbecue, the sky would instantly open with rain or thunder. Every single time!
I told him it was the ducks taking revenge from the other side — and honestly, it still makes me laugh. 😄🦆⚡
