What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? Why?

For me, the hardest decision wasn’t dramatic or loud.
It was the quiet moment I finally stopped being the “good girl.”
The girl who smiled, obeyed, made herself small.
The girl who carried the weight of other people’s choices.
The girl who learned early that masks kept the peace — even when those masks suffocated her spirit.
I grew up in a home shaped by alcoholism, a disease that steals stability and replaces it with chaos.
And for years, I told myself to endure it, to be understanding, to be strong, to not cause trouble.
That’s what good girls do, right?
But surviving and living are not the same.
It wasn’t until I reached my forties that I found the inner strength — and the self-worth — to finally cut ties.
To choose peace over the past.
To say:
“I forgive you… but I will not return to the pain you never tried to heal.”
Forgiveness and access are not the same thing.
You can release the bitterness without reopening the wound.
I haven’t spoken to my mother since 2012.
Not because I don’t care — but because I cared so much it nearly cost me myself.
And strangely… as I write this, the Moon sits at 24° Aquarius, brushing right against my North Node at 25°.
A cosmic reminder that my path — my true direction — has always been about breaking cycles, speaking truth, and freeing my voice.
Sometimes the hardest decision we will ever make is choosing ourselves.
And yet… it’s the one that finally sets our soul on its destined path.
