The call didn’t begin with a voice.
It began with images.

Late 2015, Fuerteventura started appearing everywhere—so insistently that it felt almost comical at first. The postcards in the hospital waiting room. The posters in cafés. Random pictures on Facebook. People mentioning it casually in conversations. Advertisements that had never appeared before suddenly showing up daily.

It was like the island had stepped into my line of sight and refused to step back.

At first, I brushed it off.
A coincidence.
A glitch in the algorithm.
A funny little sign from the universe, nothing more.

But the more it happened, the less it felt random.

I mentioned it to my healer friends—women who knew energy, intuition, and the language of signs without needing explanations. They looked at each other knowingly. Then one of them said something that sank straight into my bones:

“Maybe your work on Gran Canaria is done.
Maybe the next chapter is calling you.”

I almost laughed.
Move island?
Leave Gran Canaria?
Leave Fataga, Santa Lucía, the stone circle, everything familiar?

It felt impossible.

I couldn’t imagine starting over again.
Not after everything I had experienced.
Not after finally feeling rooted.

But the signs kept coming.

Some were gentle, like the images appearing in unexpected places.
Others were louder:

Our lease contract was ending soon.
And we were tired of living in the tourist zone — the noise, the crowds, the endless cycle of holidaymakers passing through while we tried to build a life.

We had two choices:

Move north on Gran Canaria, where the climate wasn’t as warm…
or
Change island.

Just the thought of it sent a strange ripple through me.
Not fear —
but recognition.

The same feeling I had when the plane first circled Gran Canaria.
The same feeling I had in Fataga.
The same feeling I had at the stone circle.
A tug.
A whisper.
A pull deep inside the solar plexus:

“Go.”

My healer friends encouraged me to sit with it, to explore the energy of Fuerteventura. They said something I will never forget:

“Sometimes the soul finishes its work in a place before the mind understands it’s time to move.”

Those words stayed with me.

And slowly, the impossible began to feel inevitable.

Because the truth was:
Gran Canaria had awakened me again —
visions, memories, past-life echoes, intuition, healing gifts, connections.

It had opened the door.

But Fuerteventura…
Fuerteventura felt like the place where I would walk through it.

The signs kept multiplying until I couldn’t ignore them anymore.

It wasn’t a relocation.

It was a calling.

And once an island calls your name,
you cannot un-hear it.
