Daily prompt-2101
What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

Well, I’m soon 55 now, and I’ve walked a few different paths in life.
When I was young, my dream was to become a nurse. I’ve always wanted to help people, but my health wasn’t the best, and the school counsellors suggested I go in a direction that wouldn’t require as much heavy lifting. So I trained to work with children — from babies to teenagers — and that became my first true calling.
I worked mostly with children with special needs. Eight years later, I decided to study again and deepen my education. I loved my job — it was meaningful, unpredictable, and full of heart.
Then, life changed. I got a tick bite, and after years of confusion and doctor visits, I was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease. It forced me to slow down and rethink everything.
After about ten years, I found a new rhythm — working part-time in a herbal shop. It wasn’t about money; it was about finding new energy and inspiration, something outside of motherhood (and maybe a little sanity, lol).
In 2009, another door opened: I began studying astrology. One weekend a month I was in school, the rest of the time studying at home — for two years. Astrology became more than a subject; it became a way of understanding the soul.
Now, I like to say I’ve become a translator of the soul.
It’s hard to explain exactly what that means — but somehow, all those career paths led me here: blending care, healing, intuition, and spirit into something that feels true.
💫 Sometimes our life’s work isn’t one path — it’s all the roads that teach us who we really are.
